What GoodShort Scraper can do
- Five ways in. Browse trending rails, genres, tags and the full tag index, run keyword searches, or paste title, episode, genre, tag, channel and search URLs. No URL building needed.
- Full episode depth. Every enriched title carries its complete episode list with per-episode price, free/paid flags, durations, publish times and stream URLs, plus free-episode counts and where the paywall starts.
- Engagement signals. Exact views alongside the on-site display string, follower counts, praise counts, per-episode durations and a derived 0-100 lead score per title.
- Catalog breadth. Genre pages plus the whole tag index reach thousands of titles, far beyond the homepage rails.
- Related titles. Every enriched title carries its recommendations with links for crawl expansion.
- Built for schedules. Incremental mode returns only new and changed titles on recurring runs, and a refused run fails loudly instead of returning an empty dataset.

These inputs let you configure GoodShort Scraper - Catalog, Episodes & Engagement. Open the actor on Apify to enter your values and review the current options.
| Input | What it controls |
|---|---|
modestring · required | TRENDING reads the homepage rails. GENRE walks genre pages. TAG searches tags (or sweeps the tag index). SEARCH runs keyword searches. FULL_CATALOG walks every genre plus the tag index. URLS scrapes pasted GoodShort links. |
genresarray | Genre names for GENRE mode (Fantasy, Urban, Romance, Thriller, Superpower, Ancient, Action, Myth, Sci-Fi, LGBTQIA+, Suspense). Leave empty for all 11 genres. |
tagsarray | Tag keywords for TAG mode (e.g. revenge, ceo, billionaire). Each tag is searched through all its pages. |
crawlTagIndexboolean | Walk every tag on the tag index (/tags/all, thousands of tags) in TAG or FULL_CATALOG mode. Slow and large: combine with Max items. |
maxTagsinteger | Stop the tag-index sweep after this many tags. Blank or 0 means every tag on the index. |
searchQueriesarray | Keywords for SEARCH mode. Each keyword is walked through all its result pages. |
listingUrlsarray | GoodShort URLs for URLS mode: title pages (goodshort.com/drama/...), episode pages (resolve to their title), genre pages (/dramas/...), tag pages (/tag/...), the tag index (/tags/all), channels (/channel/...) and searches (/search/...). |

| Input | What it controls |
|---|---|
fetchDetailsboolean | Fetch each title's full profile: synopsis, exact views, follows, full tag list, author, status, dates, related titles and the episode list. Adds the detail-enrichment charge per title. Without it you still get the browse card: id, title, url, cover, genres and engagement counts. |
fetchEpisodesboolean | Walk every episode page of each enriched title: number, duration, price, free/paid, publish time and stream URL. Part of detail enrichment, no extra charge. |
maxEpisodesinteger | Stop collecting episodes per title after this many. 0 means every episode. |
maxPagesinteger | How many browse pages (genre, search, tag) to walk per scope. Leave blank or 0 for unlimited until Max items is reached. |
maxItemsinteger | Stop after this many title records. Episodes nested inside a title do not count as items. 0 means no limit. |
resumeFromRunIdstring | ID of an interrupted run to continue. The run picks up after the last title already saved. Leave empty for a fresh run. |
incrementalModeboolean | Compare titles against the previous run for the same scope (state key) and only emit NEW or UPDATED rows (plus optional EXPIRED tombstones). Unchanged titles are skipped and not charged. |
stateKeystring | Name of the remembered baseline for incremental mode. Defaults to a hash of the current scope, so two runs with the same settings compare against each other automatically. |
emitUnchangedboolean | In incremental mode, also emit rows classified UNCHANGED (handy for full snapshots or debugging). |
emitExpiredboolean | In incremental mode, emit an EXPIRED row for titles present in the baseline but missing from this run. Tombstones respect Max items. |
ignoreFieldsForChangesarray | Extra dataset fields that must NOT mark a record UPDATED when they change (engagement counters and signed stream URLs are ignored by default). |
mcpConnectorsarray | Optionally send the results into the apps you already use, via Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors. Authorize a connector once under Apify → Settings → Integrations, then select it here. The connector receives a condensed, human-readable summary per title, not the full JSON, the complete record stays in the dataset. Leave empty to skip. |
notionParentPageUrlstring | URL (or id) of the Notion page under which item pages are created. Required to enable the Notion export; ignored by other connectors. |
maxNotifyListingsinteger | Cap on items written to each connector per run. Does not affect the dataset. |

Questions about this actor
What data does GoodShort Scraper return?
GoodShort Scraper returns 32 documented fields, including id, title, url, views, viewsdisplay, follows, episodecount and genres. Availability of each field depends on the source page and the selected mode.
How much does GoodShort Scraper cost?
It costs $1.50 per 1,000 results on the Apify Free plan and from $1.20 on paid plans, with smaller per-run or optional feature charges listed on Apify. The Apify listing shows the current rate for every plan.
Can I get only new or changed titles on a schedule?
Yes. Schedule the actor from the Schedules tab and turn on Incremental mode. Each run then returns only new and updated titles, and unchanged ones are not billed.
Why did a run return fewer titles than the site shows?
The run stops at Max items, strongest matches first. Set it higher, or to 0, to collect more of the scope. Episodes attached to a title do not count toward maxItems.
Why did my run fail instead of returning an empty dataset?
If the data source refuses every request, the run stops with a clear message so "no results" is never confused with "nothing could be read". Run it again in a few minutes. If only some titles could be read, you still get what was found.
Can I use it with AI agents or MCP?
Yes. Call it from any Apify integration or MCP client, and use the connector field to push results into Notion, Linear or Airtable.
